Refund policy

We want you to be happy with what you buy from Thornbury Books. This policy covers printed books and our downloadable PDF guides.

Printed books - 30-day returns

You have 30 days after receiving a printed book to request a return. To be eligible, the book must be in the condition you received it - unread, unmarked and undamaged - and you will need your order number or proof of purchase.

To start a return, email hello@thornburybooks.com with your order number. If your return is accepted we will send you instructions on where to post the book. Books sent back without first requesting a return will not be accepted. Return postage is paid by the customer unless the book arrived damaged, defective or was not what you ordered.

Damaged, defective or wrong items

Please inspect your order when it arrives. If a book is damaged in transit, has a printing defect, or you received the wrong title, contact us within 7 days with a photo and we will send a replacement or a full refund, including any return postage, at no cost to you.

Digital PDF guides

Our PDF guides are delivered instantly by download link. Because they cannot be returned once delivered, all digital guide and eBook sales are final — we do not offer refunds, exchanges or cancellations once a digital product has been purchased and delivered. This overrides any general return window stated elsewhere on our site; the 30-day return policy applies to printed books only. If a download link does not work, email us and we will resend it straight away.

Bundles

Where a printed book was bought in a bundle with free digital guides, the book can be returned under the 30-day policy above and the refund is for the price paid for the bundle.

United Kingdom 14-day cancellation right

If your order is delivered to the United Kingdom, you also have the legal right to cancel your order for a printed book within 14 days of receiving it, for any reason. The book must be returned in the condition you received it. This right does not apply to digital guides or eBooks once the download has begun with your consent. Your 30-day return window above still applies in addition to this right.

Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your return we will email you to confirm whether the refund is approved. Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method within 10 business days. Your bank or card issuer may take a few further days to post the refund. If more than 15 business days have passed since your refund was approved and it has not appeared, contact us at hello@thornburybooks.com.
